…but a solar eclipse is importanter
Bill was my best friend when we lived in Oxford between 1972-1975. He and Ellen live in Bowling Green, KY, and on a lark came to see us in Oxford. Forty-nine years since we’ve seen him. More importanter than the eclipse.
Our home for three years, 1972-1975
You might not be able to come home again, but then again…
Under the window in the back of the image I photographed Nixon’s resignation on our black and white TV
No bar when we lived there, just unfinished cement and sheetrock. It was here that we held on to baby Jason when the 1974 F5 tornadoes that destroyed Xenia and much of the Midwest struck. 148 tornadoes that April 3rd.
Only the different colored bricks in the crosswalk are recent.
Mostly student rentals.
"The Baily's Beads effect is a phenomenon where sunlight peaks through a valley on the surface of the moon.
During totality, a red burst could be seen at the bottom of the moon. The red burst is a rare occurrence and is called a solar prominence."

When I saw the previous image I was reminded of the cover photo of this wonderful album by Jackson Browne.
When the eclipse ended Graeter’s began. Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip.
Gordon Ramsay? Wolfgang Puck? Amaury Guichon?
w/ onions, not beans
I thought Drive-Ins only existed in my memory.
Just arrived home. Saw the moon. Got my camera out. Arranged with the pilot to time this image just so…
