Selby Trail
A 2 and 1/2 mile walk through Tilden, shared with turkeys and coyotes. I saw a deer carcass on Selby that might have been dragged up the hill by a mountain lion. in the early morning the coyotes compete with the dogs on nearby Wildcat Canyon drive.

Jewel Lake
The next stop after the Little Farm with its cows, chickens, geese, turkeys, rabbits, goats, and sheep, is Jewel Lake. Today is June 16th. The lake is dry .

Fall
Autumn in much of California isn’t majestic, but subtle changes in color remain.
Wild turkeys hang out at the Little Farm. They’re hard to miss.
Winter. Looking east from Seaview Trail. In the distance San Pablo Reservoir.
